Bill Chapin
Attorney at Law
Attorney Bill Chapin graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1972 with a B.S. in Education. He dedicated the next year to teaching at Creighton Community High School before returning to Lincoln to direct a dental screening program at the Open Door Health Center. In 1978, Bill moved to Washington, D.C. to attend Antioch Law School.
While attending law school, Bill interned for Representative John Cavanaugh and also worked as an administrative aide. Following graduation, Bill returned to Nebraska and took a job as house counsel for the Nebraska Association of Public Employees. Bill entered private practice in 1984, accepting a position with a local firm that focused on employment law, criminal law, and other matters pertaining to civil law, laying the foundation for opening the doors of his own practice, Chapin Law Office, four years later.
Bill is proud of his community service as a member of the Lincoln Lancaster Drug Project Board and Planned Parenthood of Lincoln. He has three children who reside in the Lincoln area and feels deeply fortunate that they have all found gainful employment! When not spending time with his family or striving to provide Lincoln with exceptional legal service, Bill teaches at Kaplan University, filling his free time with golf and sailing. A former marathon runner, Bill hopes to return to running regularly in the near future. Bill is licensed to practice law in the Ponca Tribal Court.
